Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law

Ignorance of the magical forces does not exempt one from liability. They work regardless of the fact if you are aware of their existence or not, and are imbedded within the very fabric of the manifested reality as we currently understand it. Our aim is to recognize such forces, to take hold of them and to make them work for us, in the most direct, practical and literal sense possible.

What is more, it is imperative that such magical powers be put to use in everyday lives, from the main magical gestures of causing change on the grand scale of things all the way to the very minutest acts such as having a conversation with a random stranger or taking a walk.

In fact, it makes no difference, for even the tiniest adjustments can and will have a monumental effect on the course of any given operation. An example would be the adjustment of a space telescope where few nanometers that are completely undetectable to the naked eye would mean a difference in billions of light years across galaxies. The bigger and more powerful the telescope, the larger the differences. This is how magick operates.

It should now be obvious that magick does not end when you have done the main bulk of your magical practices, and that in fact it had just begun. We only need to attune the proper mechanisms for the detection and reception of such energies that work your will upon the universe.

As mentioned earlier, unawareness of such forces does not mean they are not at work, it simply means that you are not adjusted enough to receive and observe the signals of the ongoing operation currently in progress. Once attuned, one may then be able to observe & judge as to what corrections should be made to the entire machinery to assure the precise manifestation of your will.

It is rarely explained and talked about just how closely those magical forces are linked to the forces of matter i.e. physical reality. Those mystics who suppose that physical realm is somehow “impure”, “gross” or “primitive” in comparison to subtler planes are dead wrong and do not concern the topic of this discussion or even worthy of any further mention.

One may assume for convenience’s sake that one plane is simply a solidification of another, which in turn means that matter itself can be controlled at will to produce physical changes by using Magick. The separateness exists only so as to make a clear distinction between different kinds of forces and their effects upon the operation at hand.

This is in fact the basis of operations of all life forms on this planet directly linked to the evolutionary wave of our species and survival of the fittest, and was clearly understood in primeval times before the civilization of advanced stone axe has put some of our deeply engraved instincts to sleep.

To awaken these instincts of survival once again, one has to either manage to stay alive among the actual predators somewhere in the wilderness or simply practice Magick and try to survive being surrounded by these forces that will either take you down or serve your will.

A single uncontrolled thought, emotion, mood or action is no less dangerous then being torn apart by a pride of hungry saber-toothed tigers. It is better to assume yourself under attack and under potential direct threat at all times, especially when you expect it not.

In fact, it is in the moment when it is least expected that you will be attacked and may be taken down. It makes sense that no predator will warn you beforehand that it is going to eat you. It will choose a moment when it can conduct an attack with the least amount of energy spent, minimal risk to itself with maximum efficiency. It so happens that this is precisely how magical forces work if you so much as relax your control.

When I was trained as a security guard working in a large multistoried shopping mall many years back, part of our training was to be aware of potential danger at all times but especially at times when everything seemed just fine. The experience I have gained opened up more insight in me then it did in others, as it is said, interpret every phenomenon as a particular dealing of God and your soul.

These were the times when I had absorbed so much of what other people living in a large city are totally unaware of. While on duty I have been tried to be tricked, bought, threatened, sexually seduced, provoked, lied to, taken unaware and many other things.

I was already instructed beforehand that this would occur, in the moments when everything seemed peaceful to the casual observer and hundreds of consumers daily visiting the shopping mall spending calm happy times with their loved ones and friends totally unaware of the real danger that lurks among them.

The danger was mostly from the people who for all intents and purposes looked the most innocent and totally harmless, but were working in organized groups to commit shoplifting, pickpocketing and other petty crimes.

It was part of my job to detect them, single them out from the large crowds and take them down, sometimes using physical force. One can draw a parallel to detecting one’s own seemingly harmless thoughts, emotions, moods and all other magical forces that can cause much damage to the initiate.

The question naturally arises, how to simulate such conscious awareness of constant danger and control of your environment, thoughts, emotions etc…at all times and even more, wouldn’t it be a restless life filled with suspicion and outright paranoia that everything is out to get you, wouldn’t it be exhausting to always be on your guard?

The answer is that such awareness becomes automatic with practice where eventually you don’t need to make an effort, and it is already inherent in us through evolution, all we have to do is awaken it.

The example would be deciding to go sleep early, but something important suddenly comes up, a woman decides to visit you, a group of friends calling you to come with them to a party, a movie that you absolutely must watch 30 more minutes. Or you have made a schedule to visit your gym three times a week, but on this particular day, you have a coffee date booked or your boss suddenly calls you from work.

Giving in to any of these can result in what was described earlier, a few nanometers in adjustment of the telescope means billions of light years difference, or being torn apart by wild beasts in nature, or allowing a break in the magical circle where these entities will attack your being, even when it was but a pleasant liquor evening with friends and no apparent danger.

Perhaps, it will not be a big set back for someone whose aspirations are low, and can only be a real threat to someone whose will is to exceed the power & glory of any magician that has ever walked the face of the earth and to be able to accomplish that which has never been accomplished before. When you aspire higher, the stakes naturally get higher along with it.

This is not to say you may not spend a whole night long feasting with two beautiful women or making your schedule flexible, if need be, diversifying your conquest strategy, attacking simultaneously from multiple angles while making these forces work as a combined power under the leadership of your one pointed will in order not to run into yet another hidden danger of becoming dogmatic in your ordered and controlled manifestations.

You are playing with a multidimensional chess board where there are secret traps and rewards even where there should not be any simply due to them unexpectedly manifesting into existence exactly where you have just checked and there shouldn’t be any.

The only safeguard here is deciding on what exactly is your will in any particular situation and being sure at all times that it is your will you are doing, and not being consumed by some other influence which is not a part of your True Will in The Great Work of Magick and Initiation.
